The Ridgefield School of Dance has given me my second family! Having danced at the studio from age 4 until high school graduation, it awarded me countless opportunities and I am honored to have watched it grow into the professional studio it is today. Along with learning different techniques and allowing me to refine my ballet, RSD gave me my confidence, professionalism, and life long friends. The facilities are beautiful, performances top-notch, and teachers unparalleled. I try to come back from college, (where I am receiving my BFA in dance with a concentration in ballet,) whenever I can to give back to the studio that has given me so much. The Ridgefield School of Dance is more than a dance studio. My girls consider it a second home. It’s a safe place to have fun with friends and work on something they love.
Alison is the caring shepherd keeping students and parents moving in the right direction. Jess is a focused hand who doesn’t allow the girls to be satisfied with “good enough.” Ms. Irene is a magician getting the youngest of dancers to focus, learn, and enjoy dance. The other instructors set a fine example of what is expected of high level performers.
We have since moved and certainly count The Ridgefield School of Dance as one of the things we miss most after leaving. I can tell you from personal experience; finding a studio with this special character is very difficult.
