INTRODUCING THE BAND APP

The Band app is an application that is downloadable on iPhone and Android that allows for group communication.

We’re excited to share that we have successfully transitioned our primary communication to the BAND app. It will serve as a central hub for all important updates; including rehearsal schedules, performance details, and regular weekly class information. Keeping everything in one easily accessible place for dancers and families.

IMPROVING COMMUNICATION

One of our main goals has been to improve how we communicate; getting the right information to the right dancers at the right time. We have been working tirelessly; researching, testing, and exploring ways to solve the ongoing challenge of endless emails, last-minute texts, and scattered paperwork.

No more digging through emails or text threads. Best of all, it protects your privacy by keeping personal contact information hidden from the group, while still giving you access to contact directors, teachers, other dancers and/or parents directly through the app.

URGENT & UPDATED INFORMATION

Having the app means receiving updated information in calendars, class times, and teacher notes. Faculty is able to communicate to large groups, edit their posts, and see who has seen the information. It is also a platform for you or your dancer to ask questions to the class or to the studio and receive quick responses.

DOWNLOAD BAND

1. Download the Band app in your mobile phone’s App Store—Green app with a ‘b’ logo. Links below.

2. Create an account using YOUR information—use parent/guardian information, not the dancer’s information, unless you ARE the dancer.

JOIN CLASS BANDS

Once you have the app and have created an account. It’s time for you to join the bands!

1. Whether you are taking one class or eight, everyone joins The Main RSOD Band—black and white logo below. This is where general whole studio information is shared. Only Alison and Tina are able to post to the group, however all members can comment and/or use the “shout” feature.

2. Click your class logo below to access the Band invitation. Make sure to add your dancer’s name when prompted for bio.

3. Repeat step 2 for all registered classes.
